The reason I decided to study languages is far from simple, but, in a nutshell, I chose languages because I think the best way to explore a culture is by learning its language.

I expect to learn new things in this course, regardless of the short time we have, and that we all get along.☺️

My Autobiography

My name is Belgica Yinett Morales Manzanillo, I was born on May 3, 1995, in San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic.

My parents are, Santa Manzanillo Crispin and Nolberto Morales Peralta. I have two brothers, one of 15 years old named Nolberling and another of 12 years old named Jonás. I am the oldest since I am 24 years old.

I was living in San Pedro de Macoris until I was 2 years old, then one of my aunts from a father named Ramona took me to live with her in the city of El Seibo since education in San Pedro de Macoris was not the most appropriate for me according to my aunt. At first my mother refused to let me go, but after talking with my father, she agreed to let me go. During the holidays, my parents used to go for me to El Seibo to spend those days with me in San Pedro de Macoris.

Since I was little I liked being a very calm and cheerful girl. I really liked playing as a teacher and putting notes to imaginary students .

At the age of 4 I stayed to live in my grandparents' house because my aunt had given birth one of my cousin named Jesús and she could not take care of me. My aunt's husband took me from time to time to my aunt's house and between him and she bought me many things. My grandparents spoiled me a lot. My grandmother combed me and prepared my breakfast before going to school. My grandfather brought me fruits from the field and gave me money to buy sweets. I enjoyed so much live with my aunt and her husband as with my grandparents too.

When I was in school, my first brother Nolberling was born with whom I played when my parents took me to San Pedro de Macoris.

When I was 9 years old my parents decided to go and live in El Seibo city where my other younger brother Jonás was born.

I had my party of 15 years in the house of my aunt Ramona with my parents and other relatives. I did the intermediate level at Santa Cruz Fe y Alegría Polytechnic where I did a tourism technician and after having finished I did an internship in Bavaro at the Punta Cana Princess Hotel. It should be noted that this internship was what motivated me to study what I am studying today.

In 2014 I enrolled in the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo where I am studying Modern Languages English Mention. I'm in my eighth semester.

In 2015 I did the course called English by Immesion in the Dominico Americano. It is noteworthy that this institute has very good teachers because I learned a lot.

Now I'm living in Santo Domingo by the university. In my free time I like to visit my family to El Seibo. We usually celebrate christmas together and all the important activities . I also like to listen to music and see the beautiful sunset.
